My name is Pol Guàrdia; I’m a Catalan journalist who was born in Sabadell 25 years ago. I studied History at UniversitatAutònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and then I applied for my degree with Journalism studies at UniversitatPompeuFabra (UPF). I’ve been working for different local media, like Radio Sabadell, Vilaweb Sabadell or AVUI Sabadell where I made a lot of interviews and articles about diverse topics, and my area was the sports department.
I also published in various Catalan newspapers as AVUI or ARA but my specialisation is Internet and 2.0 content. My last job was in the MundoDeportivo website where I was a redactor and content manager. I have knowledge in SEO, photo, video and audio editing, office automation, and the Internet.
I also worked at the Internacional Department in La Vanguardia under a practice contract and, for several years, in a bookshop. I have experience with kids as a volunteer in a youth organisation, where I worked for seven years, having maximum responsibility in two of them.
I was studying in Venice for four months in a Erasmus Program and I learned Italian. I also can speak, read and write in Catalan, Spanish and English. I’ve basic knowledge about German, French and Serbian.
